About Me
My journey into hypnotherapy began close to home. After my son stopped smoking following a single session of hypnosis, I was intrigued. Not long afterwards, I broke my leg – an unexpected pause that gave me time to reflect on my own career and future. During that period, I read an article in Woman & Home about hypnosis and changing careers. That combination of personal experience and timely inspiration set me on a completely new path.
I trained with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis (LCCH) for over 2 years, where I gained both a Diploma and subsequently a Practitioner Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis. Since qualifying, I have continued to develop my skills and knowledge to ensure my clients receive the highest professional standards of care.
I am a Full Member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BSCH), a respected national
professional body dedicated to promoting excellence, ethical practice, and high standards in clinical hypnotherapy. Membership requires rigorous training, ongoing professional responsibility, and adherence to a strict code of conduct.
I have been in professional practice since 2008, working with clients from a wide range of backgrounds. All sessions are conducted in the strictest confidence, in a safe, respectful, and non-judgemental environment.
In line with professional and ethical guidelines, I do not claim to cure medical or psychological conditions. Instead, my role is to support and facilitate positive change by helping clients access their own inner resources.
The BSCH represents practitioners across the UK and internationally, and I am proud to be part of a professional community committed to integrity, best practice, and client wellbeing.
What I Specialise In
Over the years, I have worked with a wide range of issues, but there are several areas in which I have developed particular expertise and a strong professional interest.
Weight Control is a key specialism in my practice. I am one of only a small number of practitioners qualified to work with the Virtual Weight Loss Jab, a hypnotherapy-based approach designed to support appetite control, healthier choices, and long-term behavioural change.
I am also a GLP-1 Certified Support Practioner offering a programme supporting those wishing to come off GLP-1 medication like Wegovy, Ozempic and Mounjaro.
I also specialise in stopping smoking and vaping, helping clients break free from nicotine dependence and regain a sense of control and wellbeing.
Many clients come to see me for help with anxiety, including general anxiety, stress, and confidence-related issues. I work gently and collaboratively to help clients feel calmer, more balanced, and more in control.
I have extensive experience supporting people with phobias, including emetophobia – the fear of vomiting or anything associated with sickness — as well as other specific fears that can significantly impact day-to-day life.
In addition, I regularly help clients with sleep difficulties, such as problems falling asleep, staying asleep, or switching off an overactive mind.
This list is not exhaustive, and many clients come with issues that don’t fit neatly into a single category. If you are unsure whether hypnotherapy can help with your particular concern, you are very welcome to get in touch for free initial consulation.
I offer a FREE INITIAL CONSULTATION to allow prospective patients to discuss their issues, and to enable me to answer any questions they may have about hypnosis.
